jewelry vs. the stock market

I never thought I'd have to really study these stock type charts for my business, but let me just share this with ya'll:


So, one year ago an ounce of silver was about $16 dollars. now it's around $35.

If you invested in silver a year ago this chart is amazing. you are most likely vacationing on some beach somewhere with your earnings.

But for a fledgling designer this chart is horrifying. Pricing can be so hard to start off with but when you've got this going on it's a whole other story. Especially when you are trying to justify your price with customers. and it keeps going up and up and up ...

any advice?!
