Everybody Loves a Lotus

I knew I wanted to do a lotus necklace but I feel like the lotus is pretty overdone, with the whole yoga craze thing going on. So I got some inspiration from an odd mix of sources.

First we have this totally great poster from the Obey the Giant guys. I love them. and ever since watching the Princess Bride in 8th grade I've had a real soft spot for Andre the Giant.



Isn't it the greatest? Then I got into the ubitiquitous floating lotus - asian style:



Really pretty beautiful ... throw in a PA Dutch hex sign ("trust in mankind" design of course)



and somehow I came up with this:
